The Spectral Jeweller
Special texture
The Spectral Jeweller's texture is available as a special texture for Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar. Access to the skin is occasionally distributed to players during discord giveaways held by the Pixelmon team, the first time this texture for haunter was distributed was in an event which was a Halloween 2014 contest.
History
Prior to the move to 1.16.5, using the /redeem
command and specifying a party slot number containing a Gastly, Haunter, or Gengar would cause that Pokémon to gain the Spectral Jeweller special texture.
Prior to using the /redeem
command and making the Spectral Jeweller skin obtainable, the Spectral Jeweller was a special Halloween NPC that resembled a Haunter, although colored red. It could be spawned using the /halloween
command. Normally, the Spectral Jeweller would despawn under normal conditions (being far away from all players), but the Spectral Jeweller could be prevented from despawning by using the command, /halloween persistent
. Unlike other Pokémon, the Spectral Jeweller could not be engaged in battle or captured.
Upon interacting with the Spectral Jeweller, it would state, "I'm here to exchange your hallowed gems!". These "hallowed gems" referred to seventeen different Gems (one for each type except Fairy Gems) that each were found in different Gem structures, which spawned in different biomes that correspond to each type. Unlike normal Gems, the Gems found in these Gem structures were prefixed with "Hallowed" (e.g., "Hallowed Dragon Gem"). Each hallowed Gem could be used on the Spectral Jeweller to give them to it, and if all seventeen types of hallowed Gems were given to the Spectral Jeweller, the player was rewarded with an Egg containing a Misdreavus. After completing the Spectral Jeweller's task, the player could not redo the task in the same world, even if multiple Spectral Jewellers were spawned.
