The Nether is one of the other dimensions in Minecraft. No Pokémon spawn here, and there are no plans for this to ever be the case. The only differences in the Nether related to Pixelmon are that Fire Stone Ore may spawn near lava lakes and that most mobs (besides Blazes spawned with Monster Spawners) do not spawn in the Nether under the default Pixelmon settings.
Resources
- Blaze Rods, Blaze Powder, Ghast Tears, Glowstone Dust, Netherrack, Nether Quartz, Nether Warts, and Soul Sand are dropped by various Pokémon. Details can be found on the Drops page. However, it is much faster to gather Glowstone, Netherrack, Nether Quartz, and Soul Sand in the Nether if large amounts are needed.
- Glowstone blocks can be found in Pokémon Centers.
- A small amount of Netherrack can be found in Fiery Shrines.
- Wither Skeleton Skulls are unobtainable normally in Pixelmon as regular mobs don't spawn outside of Monster Spawners. If desired, the Pixelmon config setting "Allow vanilla mobs" can be changed to true to enable Wither Skeleton spawning (along with the spawning of all other Minecraft mobs).
Bugs
- Sending out Pokémon, battling, or quitting/disconnecting whilst in the Nether may cause a corruption of data.
