Ability Shield

The Ability Shield is a held item that, when held, prevents the user's ability from being changed or suppressed in battle by any effect. The user is immune to effects that ignore Abilities, as well the user's own attempts to change it, such as Trace or Role Play.
If a Pokémon transforms while holding the Ability Shield, their ability will still change to the newly transformed Pokémon's ability and will be protected by the Ability Shield.
