An Air Balloon is a held item that makes the holder immune to Ground-type moves, announcing as such when the holder enters battle. However, if the holder takes direct damage from a move, the balloon will pop and its effects will disappear. It can be obtained as a tier 2 special drop. It is also a drop from certain wild Pokémon.
