Old Rod

An Old Rod is the most basic fishing rod in Pixelmon. It is crafted like a vanilla fishing rod, but with a Poké Ball at the end.

An Old Rod is able to catch common Water-type Pokémon with it; it is used in a similar way as a Minecraft fishing rod. However, when a Pokémon is hooked, a "!" will appear in the chatbox rather than the bob being pulled down.

Possible catches

• Goldeen
• Magikarp
• Poliwag
• Remoraid
• Tentacool

Goldeen and Magikarp are possible catches regardless of the biome the player is fishing in. Other Pokémon are only possible catches in biomes that they normally spawn in.

Trivia

• The Trainer editor uses the same sprite as the Old Rod.
