This is a list of mods that are known to potentially cause issues when used together with Pixelmon.

Please note that Pixelmon is a big mod that registers many items and other things with Forge. When used with other big mods, Forge's limits may be exceeded causing a "Invalid id ### - maximum id range exceeded" crash on startup. If you see a crash like this, you may need to also install a mod such as NotEnoughIDs.

Crashing

Minecraft will crash if any of these mods are installed with Pixelmon.

Interface conflicts

These mods may interfere with Pixelmon interfaces, or vice versa.

  • Optifine
    • The camera may get stuck inside of your Pokémon when engaging at close range.
    • A fatal error may occur when you spectate another player's battle and it ends.
  • Mine & Blade Battlegear 2
  • Sword Art Online

Other conflicts

These mods are known to cause some miscellaneous issues with Pixelmon.

  • AutoPlant
    • Causes a specific crash when a berry is left on the ground for too long.
  • CustomNPCs
    • Async saving for servers is likely to fail. Pokémon NPCs that have smooth (SMD) models are likely unable to move properly. Both of these issues are pending a fix from the CNPCs developer.
  • FoamFix (Anarchy only?)
    • An "updating screen events" crash may occur during certain actions, such as setting moves on tutors.
  • Galacticraft
    • Breaks Pixelmon's cosmetics (redeemable and things like mega rings) due to it overriding the player renderer.
  • Mo' Bends
    • Also breaks Pixelmon's cosmetics and worn items.
  • Potion Core
    • Causes Pokémon to go down to very low health when entering a battle.
  • ProjectE
    • The Repair Talisman, when active, will "repair" Bird Trio orbs, preventing them from filling up.
  • FTBUtilities
    • Pixelmon shopkeepers may have blank inventories.
  • TabManager
    • Name changes break Original Trainer functionality. May now be fixed, needs re-testing.
  • Integrated Dynamics
    • Pixelmon structures may no longer spawn.
  • Immersive Railroading
    • Pixelmon structures may no longer spawn.

The following is a list of mods that were known to cause issues when running alongside older versions of Pixelmon. These issues may no longer exist.

  • Pokémobs
