Caterpie is a Bug-type Pokémon. It evolves into Metapod starting at level 7, which evolves into Butterfree starting at level 10.
Caterpie is a green caterpillar with yellow rings going down the side of its body. Its eyes are big and yellow, with black pupils. It uses its antenna and its eye shaped markings to scare away any predators. Its feet are tipped with suction cups, so Caterpie is able to climb with ease.
Caterpie releases a stench from its red antenna to repel enemies. It grows by molting repeatedly.
Rarity
Caterpie is a common Pokémon found in Forest, Forest Hills, Flower Forest, and Sunflower Plains biomes.
