An Ability Capsule is an item that can be used on a Pokémon to switch between its two normal Abilities. It cannot be used if the Pokémon has its Hidden Ability, or if it has only one normal Ability. It cannot be used to change a Pokémon's Ability into its Hidden Ability (this is instead done using an Ability Patch). An Ability Capsule will disappear upon being used successfully. It can be obtained as a tier 3 special drop. It is also a possible drop from rare boss Pokémon, and from wild Mew, Mewtwo and Hoopa.
