Hats are a special type of accessory only available to certain players. Players who are members of the Pixelmon administration, development, modelling, or support teams automatically have access to hats. Otherwise, it is also possible to gain access to hats through special events that are periodically held on the Pixelmon website.

Upon gaining the ability to wear hats, using the /redeem command with certain arguments ("fedora", "fez", "tophat") will allow the player to wear the specified hat. To remove the hat, "/redeem remove hat" can be used.
