A Level Ball is a somewhat different ball which becomes more effective when used on Pokémon at a lower level than the lead Pokémon.
The catch rate for the Level Ball is:
- 1x if the lead Pokémon is the same level or lower leveled or than the wild Pokémon.
- 2x if the lead Pokémon is above the level and less than double the level of the wild Pokémon.
- 4x if the lead Pokémon is between double and quadruple the level of the wild Pokémon.
- 8x if the lead Pokémon is quadruple the level or more of the wild Pokémon.
Crafting
A Level Ball Lid, a Button, and an Iron Base or Aluminium Base are needed to craft a Level Ball.
To craft a Level Ball Lid, one yellow cooked Apricorn, one red cooked Apricorn and one black cooked Apricorn are needed. Placing the three cooked Apricorns in a row horizontally in a crafting bench, in that order, will produce a Level Ball disc, which can be used on an anvil to make it into a Level Ball lid.
