Meltan is a Mythical Steel-type Pokémon.

It melts particles of iron and other metals found in the subsoil, so it can absorb them into its body of molten steel.

Meltan has a 1/8192 chance of spawning when metal ore is mined. These ores are Iron, Gold, Bauxite and Silicon. The chance is higher when using a Pickaxe with the Fortune enchantment, with higher levels of Fortune giving increased chance. Upon catching, there is a 60% chance that the Meltan will become a Ditto. Both the chance of Meltan spawning and the chance of it becoming a Ditto can be edited in the config.

Meltan will evolve into Melmetal when leveled up after 400 metal ores have been mined with the Meltan in your party.
