An Ultra Ball has a catch rate of 2× the normal Poké Ball's catch rate. It is more effective than a Great Ball. It can be obtained by crafting it, buying from a shopkeeper, or as a tier 1 special drop,
Crafting
To craft an Ultra Ball, an Ultra Ball lid, a button, and an iron base or aluminum base are needed.
To craft an Ultra Ball lid, two cooked Black Apricorns and one cooked Yellow Apricorn are needed. Placing the three cooked Apricorns in a row horizontally in a crafting table, with the yellow one in the middle, will make an Ultra Ball disc, and then using it with an anvil and a hammer will make an Ultra Ball lid.
Trivia
Ultra Balls used to be crafted differently. This recipe no longer works.
