The economy bridge works by effectively hiding the underlying Pixelmon economy from everything, including Pixelmon itself. When the mod looks for the player's balance (such as for Pixelmon shopkeepers) it will instead be directed to the default Sponge economy plugin on the server. TotalEconomy and EconomyLite were both used successfully during testing, however all Sponge economy plugins including custom plugins should work identically.

Economy Bridge seamlessly merges Pixelmon PokéDollars and a Sponge economy plugin's currency together into a single currency, usable anywhere that would normally give or accept Pixelmon or Sponge currency. For example, a Sponge economy plugin command such as "/econ add" will give the player currency that can be used to purchase items from shopkeepers, along with its regular Sponge currency uses. Any applications of PokéDollars, including shopkeepers, NPC Trainer reward money, Pay Day, the /givemoney and /transfer commands, and the PokéDollar indicator in the inventory GUI, will use this combined currency.

When a player joins the server for the first time since the bridge was installed, their existing balances for Sponge and Pixelmon will be combined for their new balance. For example, should a player have $500 in Sponge money, and 200 Pokédollars, upon joining the server the bridge will detect this and their new Sponge balance will be $700. /givemoney, battle reward money, the inventory GUI, shopkeepers and so on will all be redirected to Sponge. This also means that commands such as /econ add will do the same thing as /givemoney. All that really needs to be known is that the bridge will seamlessly merge the two economies.

Economy Bridge is a Sponge plugin/server-side Pixelmon sidemod which merges the currencies for Pixelmon (PokéDollars) and Sponge economy plugins.

Installation

Economy Bridge is compatible with Pixelmon versions 4.2.4 and upwards, and only needs to be installed server-side. Additionally, Sponge and a Sponge economy plugin (e.g., TotalEconomy or EconomyLite) must be installed in order for Economy Bridge to function. Economy Bridge was tested using Sponge version 1.8.9-1763-4.1.0-BETA-1225, but it is most likely compatible with any recent Sponge version.

 1. Download Economy Bridge here
 2. Place the jar inside the mods folder in the server root directory (in the same directory as Sponge).

If Economy Bridge is installed on a pre-existing server, players will have their existing Pixelmon and Sponge balances combined the next time they join the server.

Overview

When a player joins the server for the first time since Economy Bridge was installed, the player's existing balances for Sponge and Pixelmon will be combined together. For example, should a player have $500 in Sponge currency and 200 PokéDollars on the server before the installation of Economy Bridge, the player will have $700 of the combined currency after Economy Bridge is installed.
