There are several sidemods that supplement Pixelmon, each adding additional features that are not in the mod by default. All of these mods are optional and it is possible to selectively choose which sidemods to install.

Pixelmon 4.2.x
Universal
These sidemods can be used for both singleplayer and multiplayer.

Multiplayer-specific

This sidemod is made specifically for modpack creators. It can be installed manually, but it does not provide any useful features when installed this way.
