A Trainer's starter Pokémon is the first Pokémon that a trainer is given to start being a Pokémon trainer. Trainers are given a choice for their level 5 starter Pokémon between:

- Species of Pokémon
- Number of choices
- Starting level (5-100)
- Whether the starters are Shiny
It is also possible to choose whether or not to give out a starter Pokémon upon joining the world.
