Mareep is an Electric-type Pokémon that evolves into Flaaffy at level 15. It can be sheared for its wool. Mareep's evolution, Flaaffy, is not shearable, but drops wool like Mareep when defeated.

Mareep tend to avoid battle in the wild and have mild dispositions. Mareep's fleece grows continually. In the summer, the fleece is fully shed, but it grows back in a week. Mareep also store air in their soft fur, allowing them to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

Shearing

Both wild Mareep and Mareep that are owned by players can be sheared with shears. A Mareep will drop 1-2 white wool when it is sheared, after which it will regrow its wool 20-100 seconds later. Despite the appearance of Shiny Mareep, it also drops white wool when sheared. Unlike sheep, Mareep do not consume grass and do not require it to regrow their wool. Owned Mareep must be outside their Poké Balls to regrow their wool.

A Mareep cannot be sheared while inside a ranch block.
