Thunder Bolt is an external move that causes lightning to strike at the block the player is looking at. A Pokémon must know at least one of the following Electric-type moves to use Thunder Bolt:
Thunder Bolt will have no effect if rain does not occur in the biome the player is in. This includes biomes with no precipitation and biomes with snow.
Thunder Bolt has a variable cooldown depending on the Pokémon's Speed stat, ranging from 24.8-4.2 seconds.
