Gems are held items that boost the power of a move of their corresponding type by 1.5x, being consumed in the process. They are crafted with five Diamonds and an item related to the gem's type like so:
A config option can be set to allow boss Pokémon to drop gems. This option is off by default.

The Fairy Gem cannot be crafted and is unobtainable without spawning it in. It has no use as the Fairy type is not in Pixelmon.
Config Settings
- "Allow Gem Boss Drop"-Whether or not gems (excluding Fairy Gems) can be dropped by boss Pokémon.
- "Allow Gems to be crafted"-Whether or not gems can be crafted.
Bugs
- The boost provided by gems is 1.3x.
