Wide Guard is a Rock-type move that protects the user from moves that would normally hit multiple opponents in double battles. This includes Acid, Air Cutter, Blizzard, Bubble, Bulldoze, Captivate, Discharge, Earthquake, Eruption, Explosion, Growl, Heal Block, Heat Wave, Hyper Voice, Imprison, Icy Wind, Incinerate, Lava Plume, Leer, Magnitude, Muddy Water, Poison Gas, Powder Snow, Razor Leaf, Razor Wind, Rock Slide, Selfdestruct, Sludge Wave, Snarl, String Shot, Struggle Bug, Sweet Scent, Swift, Synchronoise, Tail Whip, and Twister. It has a 50% chance of success if used after a successful Wide Guard, Protect, Detect, Endure, or Quick Guard. Wide Guard will always move first.
