A mark is a special marking that can be found exclusively on wild-caught Pokémon. Along with ribbons, a Pokémon's marks can be viewed and toggled from the ribbon menu on the summary page. Naturally, Pokémon can have no more than one mark.


Marks cannot be obtained through breeding.

Mechanics

When a wild Pokémon is caught, the game will check whether or not to apply a mark to it. The following rates are used in the following order:

Mark Chance With Mark Charm
Rare Mark 1/1000 3/1000
Rowdy Mark - Slump Mark group (28) 1/100 3/100
Uncommon Mark 1/50 3/50
A weather-based mark (8) 1/50 3/50
A time-based mark (4) 1/50 3/50
