I created a mondo to play alone, and when I try to mega evolve or use some z-move, it appears that it is not available for that battle.

Do you have unlocked/equipped your Mega Key Stone? To unlock it you need to beat a Mega Boss Pokémon. If you did already check the equippables tab in your inventory (expands with the little arrow left of your team) and see if the Key Stone is equipped there.
