I personally like them positioned like the first image, standing up, as it... just looks better like that.

I'll get around to making the actual model in the weekendz

reshiram == zekrom == palkia
palkia and reshiram share feet, and palkia and zekrom share wings
and i have models of all 3 (plus dialga) i win, and zero should make zekrom, and you should make them both, competition didnt hurt anyone (unless it was meant to)
