Pixelmon Mod

Can anyone tell me how to move my pokemon from one world to another? Or maybe point to a thread where it has already been discussed.
I have been playing Pixelmon for a very long time now, it has become my main mod and half the reason I continue. From time to time due to Minecraft updates and mod incompatibilities I am forced to re-create my world. I actually enjoy the opportunity to start fresh and hone my building skills. My only real grip is that I lose my pokemon every time. Its a real hassle for me really.
Any help would be appreciated.

in your world's save directory there is a pokemon directory. Simply copy it from the old world to the new one

Ah I think I figured it out. The problem seems to be on my end.
Some how my Minecraft game was saving to an entirely different directory all together.
