Running Pixelmon version 4.2.5 on Minecraft 1.8.9

I used the Pixelmon wiki to see what all items could be made, and I've been attempting to create several items listed as "decorative". None of those recipes from the wiki are working in-game for me though. I thought maybe the wiki just lacked information on what version these things were added to the game and my version was just outdated, but I've went to creative and seen that these items do actually exist in my version. So are they just uncraftable in 4.2.5, or am I doing something really wrong?

You are using an outdated version. Many recipes were only added recently.
