Pixelmon Mod

I couldn't find a fitting section. I'm trying to play Pixelmon using the launcher I downloaded from this site. I have registered on minecraft.net (didn't buy the game though), activated e-mail and I can log in on minecraft.net but I can't use these credentials to log in the Pixelmon Launcher, it say's "failed to login". Any help?

You have to own minecraft to play pixelmon

it says the same for me but it says its a network failure but there's nothing wrong with my internet
