Players of Pixelmon, what do you like in a server?

I'm working with a server and we have a decent amount of players. It's a Survival Pixelmon server.

But I have some questions to ask:
What do you like in a Pixelmon Server?
What do you not like in a Pixelmon Server?
How do you want the gyms to be like? (NPCs or Players?)
Would you like to have random towns around spawn? (With either no usage/ for show or something specific?)

I'm asking this because I want players to have a fun community to play in and this also helps the community decide where the future of the server is going.

What I like in a Pixelmon server is well... activity and kindness. A good mix of both Gym Leaders, Mods, and normal Players all doing well together. I sometimes join a server also where there are to many of one, and not enough of the others. I also feel that actual player Gyms are better, for they can give crucial advice to challengers who do not succeed on their first try. Also, don't forget the always important issue of Mods helping. On some servers I see Mods being often afk or to busy doing their own thing to help those in help. A word censor is also a must-have I think.

I want to go more indepth with the Gyms.

It seems more people would love to have Player Gyms. Maybe even a mixture of NPCs and Player Gyms.

I see a lot of servers using Player Gyms and sometimes level caps. How do they do this? Wouldn't the player gym's pokemon level up past the cap? Does a staff member fix this or do the player just resign/find another pokemon?

This is my first time working with Pixelmon but I've been helping run servers for 3 years.

I try to make the server website work more for reporting and support. Or would answering every question on the server better than redirecting them the website?

Pokémon leveling can be disabled voluntarily in the Pokémon's stats interface.

I like a couple things.

Something new, A.K.A mods.
I don't like seeing servers that offer the same thing as the last 20 I was on. Mods spice things up, and offer something potentially new for me to learn about. However, modded servers tend to have very few players which upsets me. No offense to Minecraft, its a great game, but the only reason I still play it is because of Pixelmon. And I only play it rarely.

Good Community
A.K.A
No drama, players building nice towns together, and over all friendly people.
The only reason I play Pixelmon over the actual games is because of the community. Its nice to see people help each other out and whatnot. You know, that and being able to move freely in first person, that's also nice. Come on its first person Pokemon.
Also the fact it was made by the Pokemon community. And I'm not competitive so normal Pokemon gets boring after the story for me.
Okay so there are quite a few reasons. :3

Down to earth staff.
A.K.A
Staff that doesn't only do things according to a set of guidlines, but a staff that can do things with their own judgement. Seems like most servers treat their staff like children who can only do exactly what they are told.

Music
Such as when you are battling or walking in a certain zone.
However you don't really need this if players can just play a song from their computer. I however am a music junkie.

Here's what i like:

A region custom built. (Doesn't have to be complex)

Multiple towns for things like reviving fossils.

Npcs, i recommend using the custom npcs mod for this.

8 gyms, controlled by gym leaders (use the trainer editor here, make the setting once per day.)

What I don't like:

Things like "Towny" That just take the fun out.

Donator ranks getting perks. (exclusive areas, a better start then others, etc.) *cough* ultra balls when starting *cough*

Gyms frequently getting closed down because of player gym leaders.

Impossible quests that take ages.

AND THE WORST OF ALL: LIMITED POKEMON
