As the title says. Some trainers are getting really used to their "pets" and why would you make them feel like a grunt and not an actual pokemon trainer.

I mean... We could make a cheap feature that gives you some mood particles, depending on how you interact with your mon, but that's about it. Something akin to the games would require thousands of new animations - and those are a major bottleneck already...

I'm not even talking about animations. Just a short pop up showing that we did pet our creature with simple hearts particles coming from it would be actually possibly enough ^^
