First time playing on Minersrage? Here's a tutorial!
Do /kit tools to get started and leave the spawn. Use /warp wild to head into the wild and see if you can level up your starter Pokemon a few levels, until level 8 or so. Then head to /warp ssanne. SS Anne is the ship you know from the games. On the ship, you'll find some NPC trainers. Battle them and earn Rare Candy, more pokeballs and most importantly: earn XP!
Once you've defeated all of them, your Pokemon should be about level 20, and you're ready to go back to one of our warps and start catching Pokemon. (Check: /warps)

There are two kinds of gyms: AI Gyms + People Gyms. Do the AI gyms first. They're the easiest. If you can defeat them, consider defeating the people gyms.
For the people gyms, make sure you level-lock your Pokemon, for if you face a level 20 gym, your Pokemon need to be level 20 too! Ask if a Gymleader is on. If not, you can fight one of the Gymmods, who can fill in for any team.
Once you defeat all gyms, you can face the Elite 4 and afterwards you can face our reigning champion: Kina.
If you are more of a Pokemon collector or a Pokemon breeder, you could go into the wild and claim land over there. You can claim 20 chunks maximum by using /mychunk claim. The borders will be indicated with torches.
If you dislike building, ask if you can join a towny. Many townies have houses ready for new members. Don't worry about your land not being protected, the mayor will make sure no one can steal from you.
Want to get rich? Then go exploring and catch as much Pokeloot as you can. Go to /warp mall to sell it all! Our owner will also be opening a casino soon... you might want to give that a try. We also have a lot of events where you can get Pokeloot or money.
Do you like to PVP and troll other people? Then consider joining one of the Teams. Team Rocket, Team Aqua, Team Galactic, Team Magma and Team Plasma are all looking for members to join them. The challenge will last all throughout the month of February and is explained on our forums. (http://minersrage.enjin.com/forum)
Look for the "Team versus Team" section at the bottom of the forum.
Long story short: in February, it will be all about killing, griefing and trolling people from the other Teams. Or perhaps you can make an alliance with one team to make another team suffer? Whatever may happen, we're all very excited about the Team versus Team challenge that is coming up.
But there will be some other elements as well... During the challenge, you may suddenly get a task from an admin to collect a certain item in a chest, or to build a specific thing in your base. Each team can win points with that. At the end of February, a winner is announced and everyone who participated will win something.
There are many more things to do on Minersrage. We have an EV Museum, a Breeding Museum and a very helpful staff. If you like to build, let us know and we will give you free building bricks so you can prove yourself. Perhaps you'll even land a builder spot?
Around the town of Architects, you will also find many popculture sights to behold. Fight the NPCs you find there and earn Rare Candy by defeating them.

Donator Features
To keep the server alive, we also have a Donation store. You can buy your favorite Pixelmon there or get a rank. Each rank gets a kit and master rank also has /fly. You could also buy /fly separately, or buy pokeheal or repair. Wondertrade is a donator-only feature on our server. We love our donators, but we also love those who can't donate. We have other challenges on our website to give everyone a chance to get a rank or wondertrade, as long as they're active and put some effort into it.
