maya is far better, take it from someone who has used both programs. XD

Scizor, none of them are easy, Maya has more features but again, not easy. You need to learn and practice thoroughly to be able to make good models, so go with Maya and learn it, if you already started with 3DS Max, continue on with that.

If you want to learn how to model using Blender, or how to better your models, don't ever be afraid to ask!
