gym bosses easily bypassed - fix fix completed for upcoming version

Ticket description:
pls fix the ability to simply run from a boss battle in gyms to be able to bypass them to cheese to the final boss. i can think of a few ways to go about this, my favourite thought atm would be to have the "run" option tp the player to their home or world spawn when successful. this could be an option coord in the config and/or optional via the entity npc gui for the individual bosses within gyms. this fix is just a suggested approach ofc

Thanks for the report. Could you clarify what you mean and where the bug is? If you run from the final battle of a gym it counts as a loss and you don't get the rewards, so I'm unsure where the "cheese" is.

Having seen your other bug report I believe that what you are describing is a suggestion and not a bug report. Please post suggestions in the suggestions forums.

i was asked to post this here by a dev on discord, i thought it odd at the time but didn't question the decision too far once i tried and failed to post on "suggestions" as this whole area appears to be closed for me.

more about how this is cheese...
the gyms have a specific order to them, you don't just go straight to the final boss battle but rather battle through a series of minor bosses first, these "pre-bosses" offer no reward except for the ability to move past them onto each successive boss. each of these "pre-bosses" can be bypassed with the run or /endbattle (endbattle is a different issue but can be mentioned in the same post as it deals with the same mechanics). so, once all the "pre-bosses" are bypassed simply by running from them a player is able to fight the final boss for that badge, in essence meaning the gym really only contains one boss for the badge, the others bosses are there just to get in the way whilst the player navigates the gyms mazes or whatever other structure may be within. hopefully now understood, let me know if not.

The upcoming version will no longer allow people to flee from trainer battles, as a workaround for this issue.
